Wildfire Risk Mitigation Projects
Since 2022 SWFC contractors have completed over 600 acres of fuels reduction and Firewise work for private land in the Oakridge-Westfir Area. This work is made possible with funding from the Oregon Department of Forestry, Oregon State Fire Marshal, Oregon Department of Environmental Quality and the USDA Forest Service.
Firewise is a voluntary program that provides a framework to help neighbors get organized, find direction, and take action to increase the ignition resistance of their homes and community.
