Firewise is a voluntary program that provides a framework to help neighbors get organized, find direction, and take action to increase the ignition resistance of their homes and community.
Wildfire Risk Mitigation Projects
In 2022-2023, SWFC contractors completed over 300 acres of fuels reduction and Firewise work for people across the Oakridge-Westfir Area. In 2023-2025, SWFC will work with the most at-risk residents within the Oakridge and Westfir city limits to improve defensible space.
